Vice President of Education and Credentialing
I come from a business background that is rooted in grassroots business development and growth. This business background has supported our work related to ongoing support, and development, for the behavioral health profession, and services delivered, through organizational development/growth and workforce development. My dedication to education, support and advocacy with the ‘any positive change’ mentality to wellness allows all to feel included and supported. I will always strive to ensure/advocate equitable access to resources and support for all community members. My main motivation is to see efforts advance, and sustain, equitable and stable resources and supports for all.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and visiting as many sunny, warm places as possible. This includes seeing as many live concerts as possible.

Maria Green
Community Engagement Manager
I began my career in the recovery field a few years ago when a friend of mine, who was in recovery, asked if I was interested in volunteering with her at a local nonprofit recovery organization. Volunteering at that organization opened the door for me to work in Marketing and Community Development. While working there, I organized multiple fundraisers, established relationships within the community, and helped raise awareness about mental health and substance use. However, working in the recovery field, it was extremely rewarding to witness so many incredible individuals persevere and grow in their recovery.
I have always enjoyed working with people, but my passion lies with those in recovery. Although I do not have personal experience with substance use, many of my loved ones have struggled with it, and some have even tragically lost their lives. I am incredibly grateful to work with Mental Health America of Indiana as the Community Engagement Manager, where I can continue raising awareness about mental health and substance abuse. Outside of work, I am a devoted family person who enjoys spending time with my loved ones, as well as my two dogs and cat. I also enjoy traveling, gardening, engaging in home projects, and spending time outdoors, preferably at the beach.
